CONTRIBUTING TO THE TEAM

In my current role within the Commodity Flows Desk, I’ve had the opportunity to interact with senior members of staff (Board Members/VP’s/Head’s of Function, etc.) at prospective companies all over the world. I have to be confident in my ability to talk about RWE Supply & Trading and the services we offer. This requires strong knowledge of the markets, and our products and services. It’s really interesting, and signing a new client gives you a sense of purpose that you’re contributing to the team.

NO QUESTION IS STUPID

People are aware that you are a graduate and are always happy to help – no question is stupid. There is an abundance of ex-graduates around the company and the opportunity to learn from their experience is valuable. It is also a strong indication of the company’s ability to retain talent.
I really enjoy the business culture here. It feels relaxed in the way you are nurtured; the company is vested in your development and wants you to succeed. It is also demanding because you are given the responsibility and expected to deliver.

I’m looking forward to my next rotation and utilising the skills I have already developed to add value in my new role.
